By buying this booklet you support different projects for children in the Sahara It also enables us to donate booklets to the schoolchilderen living in the area of Mhamid El Ghizlane. The booklets are available in the following languages: English/Arabic French /Arabic Dutch/Arabic Want to plant a tree? During the trips to Mhamid in the south if Morocco in which Wanda Hebly works as a tour leader it is possible to be able to plant your own tree. The trees for planting cost euro 10 per tree. It is also possible to donate trees without your presence in Mhamid as we will then take care that they are planted in the designated areas. Information about the tree-planting initiative The planting and maintenance of a baby tree on the edge of the Sahara desert near the village of Mhamid ElGhizlane costs euro 10.= per tree. There are several things included in the purchase of one baby tree: 1. preparing the land, such as cleaning the area, levelling the grounds (taking away excess sand) and digging the hole for the tree and palm leaves 2. buying the baby tree 3. buying palm leaves, which are needed to protect the tree from donkeys, goats and camels who want to eat it 4. providing water for about half a year and ensuring that the water supply is secured and the water wells are properly maintained 5. tree maintenance for an average of half a year, such as taking care of repairs after a storm 6. buying and preparing nametags for the sponsors to be attached to each individual tree 7. supervising children from the Mhamid area who will help in taking care of the trees, thereby building a better appreciation for their natural environment. With euro 25 it is also possible to donate a Groasis Waterboxx with 2 trees in it.
